Kinross

The former county town of Kinross lies to the west of picturesque Loch Leven and is surrounded by superb countryside. Loch Leven is adjacent to the motorway but the loch is approx 2/3 miles away. The area is steeped in history and Kinross itself is perhaps most famously known as the place where Mary Queen of Scots was held prisoner on Castle Island in 1567.
