Be on TV – Escape to the Country

Alistair Appleton, Jules Hudson, Nicki Chapman and Jonnie Irwin are here to share their experience and help those wanting to swap city living for a home in the country.

Escape to the Country is looking for home-hunters wishing to make the move to the rural countryside. On the show we’ll discover why you want to move, what you’re looking for and which part of Britain you’ve set your heart on.

In your chosen area we’ll show you three idyllic country properties that match your criteria and your budget. The last option is the famous ‘mystery’ house, a property that may well challenge your perceptions about what you think you really want.

During your journey, you’ll also have the chance to enjoy country life. You might visit beautiful local towns, tour iconic British homes and monuments or gain hands on experience of traditional rural crafts and pursuits, whilst enjoying an exclusive behind the scenes look at the nation’s favourite rural property show.

So what are you waiting for? Is this the year of change for you? If you’re fed up with city living, long for the tranquillity of the countryside and are seriously thinking of moving, then please apply. We could help you find your perfect rural home in a truly memorable way.

We live in a village in Yorkshire called Rufforth. Our house is five bedrooms and we have done B & B for the last two years but feel now that it is time to downsize to a three bedroom property, either a bungalow or a converted barn or church, We would preferably like to live over South Yorkshire / North East Lincolnshire, which would be nearer to our son. We are in our early seventies but young at heart!!

We have put out house on the market for £725.000 and would like to find a place around £450.000
