Tracy Harris and Frank Maximillian told the Daily Mail that "life is simpler, safer and calmer" in Brittany, where the couple now reside in the village of Evran after selling their house in Putney.
Ms Harris stated that despite the depreciation of sterling, the couple are not worse off.
Examples of cheaper living costs noted by the news provider include local government taxation being up to 90 per cent less than council tax while including the cost of a television licence, in addition to which there is no road tax.
