Canary Islands 'have a lot to offer' those looking for property in SpainPeople looking for a property in Spain that offers access to the great outdoors as well as culture and art should consider the Canary Islands.

The Telegraph published a selection of its readers' recommendations for things to do and see in the destination, covering a range of attractions.

Anyone seeking peace and quiet may want to follow the advice of David Wakeford in Suffolk, who told the newspaper that the island of La Gomera is "delightful", adding that it offers a variety of landscapes to be explored, including sub-tropical forests and "sun-drenched cliffs".

Another option for those searching for property in Spain could be Lanzarote. Brian Johnson pointed out that as well as numerous family-friendly resorts, the island is also home to the Timanfaya National Park where you can see lava rocks that stretch all the way to the coast.

Meanwhile, a Guardian reader suggested that people staying on Lanzarote should pay a visit to El Museo Internacional de Arte Contemporaneo, which is housed in a fort and is now home to exhibitions of contemporary art.
