Those who own French property in the winter sports area of Courchevel could be interested to hear about a new art exhibition which is to be held in the region.

According to Courchevel Tourisme, the region will be holding an art exhibition featuring pieces by Salvador Dali, which the board suggested could help to add a touch of culture to a winter sports holiday in the French resort.

"People will come to see the amazing sculptures. We are always trying to be different as a ski destination with our animation and our events," said Veronique Beulz, head of marketing and promotion at Courchevel Tourisme.

Winter sports fans considering where to invest in a French property may find Courchevel an ideal place to buy a home to use as a base for skiing breaks, as Ms Beulz noted that the region is the most "important" resort in Europe due to its 600 kilometres of ski slopes.
