At 300 meters in height, the tower provides a unique view of Paris, but not the only one, according to Veronique Potelet Anty of the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau.
She explained that for those looking for culture, the first destination on people’s minds should be the Louvre, but the city boasts more than 140 other museums.
"The City Hall of Paris, for example, owns around 50 museums, which are really tiny museums and they’re free and have permanent collections," she explained.
UK buyers looking to find a property in France could be well advised to discover more about Paris by going on a behind-the-scenes tour.
Ms Anty believes visitors think they know the capital well before they arrive but "they only know a tiny part of the city".
