According to travel agent On the Beach, while the summer season saw many Brits choose to take a staycation and holiday within the UK, the winter will see increasing numbers of people jetting off to sunnier climes.
Marketing director Alistair Daly said that due to the "pretty dismal summer" in the UK, the firm is expecting a rise in people choosing to sun-seek come the winter.
Those with Florida property could also be considering taking a trip away this winter and with weather in the state less humid but still warm at this time of year, it could prove to be the ideal time to go.
