Perennial Portugal property favourite the Algarve still has plenty to offer second home-hunters on a budget, while the country’s famous Silver Coast, as well as Albufeira and Vilamoura are also recommended for Portugal property seekers.

"Albufeira is still very popular, Vilamoura is top of the list for a lot people and there is property in Vilamoura that […] is in people’s reach, so people are looking."
Mr Reilly added that the number of cheap flights that can be taken from the UK to the country also helps make Portugal property a popular choice with British buyers and holiday-makers alike.
Currency Index reported in June that the price of holiday home-type Portugal property has fallen by an average of 16.3 per cent in the past year alone.
