Families that move overseas can enjoy a number of benefits.

According to relocation advice website expatforum.com, starting a new life overseas, such as in a Spanish or French property, can give children the "best of both worlds".

Living abroad gives kids the opportunity to learn about a new culture while staying in touch with people back home.

"The ability to take on new languages, new ways of life and a new environment should not be overlooked – these are all plus points when entering the employment market in later life," commented a group representative

The spokesperson went on to say that it is easy to forget that young children are able to absorb a great deal of information and relocating to an overseas destination, such as Spanish or French property, could give them a great start in life.

This week, the NatWest International Personal Banking Quality of Life Index suggested that 93 per cent of UK expat parents believe that their children are benefiting from the experience of living abroad.
