The Tuscany region of Italy has too much to see to fit into a fortnight, it has been suggested.

Travel writer for the Independent Adam Buckley said that the city of Florence has more treasures on its own than can be seen in a two-week break.

He commented: "You could spend a fortnight here and still not see every one of the masterpieces to be found in Florence’s museums and churches."

Mr Buckley added that visitors to the region can also enjoy the medieval charms of Siena, the sights of Pisa, beach resorts such as Elba and walking areas around the southern end of the Alps.

Such attractions may persuade some to invest in a Tuscany property, in order to provide more time and opportunities to sample the region’s different attractions.

Tuscany property is the most popular in Italy according to a survey of the number of adverts placed on Italymag.co.uk, Country Life reported recently.
