The house is about 2 minutes by car from Plouec du Trieux where there is a boulagerie, mairie, post office, two bars one of which acts as a small shop, a church and hairdressers. The large town of Pontrieux (4 minutes away) has many larger shops, supermarket, bank etc as well as the port where there are restaurants on the quay and many good sized sailing and powered boats moor up and visit. It is a popular tourist spot in the summer. Paimpol can be reached by a steam train in the summer and has a large marina with many bars and cafes.
