But built to the most exacting modern standards, including under-floor heating and cooling.

This house is just beautiful.

Tall French Oak doors, windows with internal shutters, pole and cane ceilings and lovely bathrooms. Even the time worn, ancient floor tiles were carefully retained and re-laid – this is pure Portuguese rustic elegance.

The high level terraces have views across the gardens to the south and west. Tiered steps take you through pomegranate, fig, almond, peach and citrus trees to the formal lawns below.


Pool Terrace Rooms

Adjacent to the main house is a large terrace under a suspended pergola with three rooms designed to service the pool areas: A kitchen, a shower room with Hansgrohe Montreaux fittings including a drench shower, and a steam room tiled in Bizaza mosaics with fibre optic lighting, and a large services and store room.

This is a great place to start or finish your day.


Infinity Pool/Grounds

No expense has been spared with the landscaping project. Jardim Vista were commissioned to landscape this property with a brief to mix formal gardens and indigenous planting, with natural low maintenance areas which include large swathes of meadow filled with wild flowers including daisies, cornflower and poppy.

Two formal lawns flank the infinity pool enhancing the dramatic southerly views of the countryside to the Atlantic beyond. A further West facing lawn is a great place to sit and watch beautiful Algarve sunsets.

Wherever possible the original trees have been protected and retained. Lemon, fig, olive, carob, almond and pomegranate have been accompanied by more of the same plus apricot, peach and lime trees.

The effect is magical.
