The rolling countryside is crossed by winding rivers, bordered by meadows abundant with wild flowers - rare birds and butterflies in profusion. The climate benefits from the mild and warm weather associated with regions south of the river Loire.
In this rich pastoral landscape lie some of the greatest castles of the “Garden of France” – Amboise, Chenonceaux, Villandry, as well as the lesser known Montpoupon, Loches, Azay-le–Ferron, Touffou to name but a few.
