INTERIOR AND STRUCTURAL FEATURES
The country house is about 500 sqm and has a very panoramic location with wonderful glimpses over Orcia Valley and its villages. It has been completely restored in 2001 from the basis, on 1700 ancient basis. Here, we have Tuscan tradition high finishing with carefully restored original materials. There are 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and some very suggestive lounges with in style fireplace. The country house is surrounded by an elegant green with an underground irrigation system. The water independence is guaranteed by an artesian well, which picks from a spring at 80 meters of depth, some underground water tanks and a capacious reservoir.
As regards the land, the vineyards are as follows:
- 2 Sangiovese hectares (planted in 2001);
- 1 Merlot hectare (planted in 2001);
- 0,5 Petit Verdot hectare;
- 0,5 Cabernet Sauvignon hectare.
The vineyards have an excellent east-west exposure and they are naturally protected from the Tramontane. They are at 400 meters of altitude. The annual production number of bottles is about 20,000:
Doc Orcia 8,000
Other I.G.T. 2,000
The vineyard is registered as Orcia Doc. In the cellar there are: Garbellotto wood fermentation tanks, steel tanks, 12 storage basin for 20 hectoliters, 6 barrels to age wine for 10 hectoliters , 14 tonneaux for 400 litres, 1 tonneaux of 500 litres, 2 barriques of 225 litres and the bottling and labelling system which ensures the total production cycle in the farm.
