The Region Karpaz Peninsula

Karpaz Gate Marina

The new Karpaz Gate Marina is now open and operational. Located just a couple of kms south of the village of Siphai, Erenkoy. It is large enough for 350 plus vessels, including Super Yachts of over 65 meters. Restrictions on sailing along the territorial waters of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have now been lifted which means yachts will sail to this new and almost only available berthing spot in the Eastern Mediterranean. This will further add value to properties and investments in the area and act as a money magnet with the super rich bringing their yachts and wanting to explore the region.

The Village of Sipahi

The small village of Sipahi is set above the coast road that runs down the Karpaz panhandle and has the usual coffee shop and convenience store. The position of the village ensures that almost all the well spaced houses have delightful sea views. Sipahi is also home to the well preserved mosaics in the ruins of Basilica Agia Triada that dates back to the 5th century. Although little of the main structure remains the extensive flooring is intricately pattern with abstract mosaics.
