About the Location


Within easy reach from Athens and along the beach is the holiday resort of Nea Styra. The ideal is to go to the sandy beach with the clear, turquoise water which attracts plenty of tourists (mainly Athenians) and is full of life throughout the summer. The surrounding sea area is an attraction for both inflatable owners as the area includes clusters of islands and undiscovered coves. Nea Styra is connected with the port of Agia Marina Attica daily.
In Nea Styra everything is within walking distance, making the car not necessary and thus forgetting the furious pace of Athens. Once in the port, the heart of Nea Styra, having traveled 45 min on the ferry, you have the feeling that you have arrived to a small island.
The port consists of a promenade with hotels, taverns, ouzo shops, supermarkets, cafes and everything else you need, all facing the sea.
Upon arrival you can enjoy a cool swim in the organized sandy beach right by the port, which is windless, with clear, turquoise waters and a few small pebbles, where the waves break. Alternatively, walk to the left of the harbor at 800 meters where is the sandy beach of Kefalas and picturesque taverns with lovely views of the bay of Nea Styra. Of course, it is the ideal place for families with children because the sea is shallow, has clear waters and the cars are limited.
Because the orientation of Nea Styra is west, you can enjoy the most beautiful sunset. On the hill above the port there is a path leading to the church of St. Konstantine and St. Helen, a place to watch the sunset and the panoramic view of the island Stouronisi.
You can use the New Styra as a base to explore the surrounding area by means of beautiful paths to good beaches, especially those facing the Aegean. Some of the nice beaches to go to are: Limnionas Mesochori, Armyrichi, Zarakes and Tsakaioi, located on the other side, just behind Styra and overlooking the Aegean Sea.
You can visit the mountain villages nearest to that of Styra since its located on the main road that connects it with Halkida and Karystos .
