- An attractive 2 level home set in gardens and agricultural land with a well
- 2 kitchens and 5 bedrooms allow much flexibility as to how the property can be used
- Well maintained and currently lived-in with all utilities connected

There is considerable flexibility as to how this 200 sq.mt. property can be utilized since there are several large rooms at one end of the home not currently in use, but which could be refurbished to create even more bedrooms or living areas.
The part of the home presently in use has on its lower floor a very large main room with a fireplace and beautiful stone arches opening onto the gardens.
One bedroom and bathroom has been created on this floor for a relative who had difficulty with stairs; this would make excellent guest accommodation for family or friends. There are two fully-fitted modern kitchens.
Upstairs, four bedrooms and a large bathroom leading off a lovely arched passageway enjoy peaceful countryside views. There is the potential to have a large terrace at one end of the building above the second kitchen area.
A terrace area runs along the front of the house, separating it from the lawn and garden. Beyond the garden is a very large vegetable garden. There is also a large field, which in the past has been used for crops, and the property also benefits from a well, perfect for irrigating the garden and vegetables.
A very large separate lock-up garage complements the excellent road access. The property is secluded and tranquil in its rural setting, but not isolated. And the nearby historic hilltop town of Alvito provides all the service establishments, the shops, cafés, bars, restaurants, etc., necessary for day-to-day life.

ALVITO AND THE CIOCIARIA
Alvito is one of the major medieval hilltop towns in the area of Italy called the Ciociaria, the name given to the fertile land that lies south of Rome but north of Naples, situated inland in the hills in the heart of Italy.
The Ciociaria region is within easy reach of both Rome and Naples and their respective airports. A day's shopping in Rome is a common pastime, while an even shorter drive brings you to the charming beaches south of Rome. Alternatively, drive east, and the mountains of the Abruzzo National Park await with horse trekking in the magnificent beech forests, and sparkling mountain lakes and rivers where you can swim in the heat of the summer. And at the other extreme of temperature, although Alvito itself is temperate, less than an hour's drive brings you to the winter ski slopes.
Often overlooked, both by tourists and by those foreigners in search of an Italian home, in favour of the more publicized regions of Tuscany and Umbria, the Ciociaria remains largely an unspoilt gem with beautiful scenery and medieval hilltop towns. A home or second home in the Ciociaria, in the hilltop towns of Alvito, Arpino, Veroli, Alatri or in the rolling countryside that surrounds them, will afford you a setting where over two thousand years of history combine with an idyllic rural Italian lifestyle, where you can still discover the 'real' Italy and take time out from the busy crowds of the larger tourist cities, while being less than ninety minutes journey from central Rome or either of Rome's two airports.
