The city of Javea ( or Xabia in Valenciano ) Spain lies about 80 km north east of Alicante, in between Denia and Altea. You can reach Javea via the road N 332, a wonderful road along the coastline of the Costa Blanca. Approximately 1 hours' drive from Alicante and Valencia Airports. AP7 Junction 62 this is the motorway that runs along the coastline.

Areas of Javea
The Arenal area of Javea is a thriving beachside resort with an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants. Our favourite for breakfast is the Champagne Bar where the staff are friendly, multilingual and are always pleased to see you. The full English breakfast is just delicious. For an Indian Kathmandhu is superb go for the menu del dia and you have an amazing choice of mains included.

Cabo de Nao is a picturesque location with the historical lighthouse at the top, rugged cliff faces and stunning views across the sea. Some beautiful villas can be found amongst the woodland but with easy reach of all amenities.

Old Port is another picturesque location with traditional Spanish streets with bars and restaurants and of course the mooring of smaller yachts and boats.
Montgo National Park and Mountain is a perfect setting for those who do not wish to be in the midst of things but like the idea of a short drive to town then this may be a suitable location for you.
Other urbanisations are scattered around Javea, some close to the golf course, some on other hillsides, some small others larger just ask us for more details.

Things to do
Endless water sports are available here; hire a boat for the day, fishing, kayaking, jet skiing, snorkelling, diving, and paddle boarding.
For the more relaxed type of people then sun bathing on the Arenal beach is a perfect way to relax and unwind and if you want a bit of lunch then the bars and restaurants overlook the sandy beach.

Golf Courses
Javea has its own golf course designed by Francisco Moreno and opened in 1981. The course is a gently sloping 9 hole course with well-maintained greens and fairways flanked by palm trees, pine trees and orange trees. Although it has only 9 holes, on the second time around or back nine, many of the holes are played from different tees making it virtually an 18 hole course.
La Sella Golf, Moraira Golf and various other courses are all within half an hour's drive so the choice is varied which makes it a very popular location to be for golfers.
Karting, horse riding, tennis and many more activities are found in the area.

International School
An important part of permanent living in Spain with children, the Lady Elisabeth schools are very popular as they are international and have a very high success rate of passing exams. There is a coach that picks up children from various other towns and takes then to school.

Shopping
Shopping in Old town or at the Arenal are both very popular for tourists. It is very friendly and family orientated which makes it popular for all nationalities including the Spanish. All over Javea there are different supermarkets, banks, restaurants, gift shops, clothes shopping; furniture shops everything you need for permanent living.
