Communications are good. Palma and Palma Airport can be reached in about 20 and about 30 minutes' drive. If you drive in the opposite direction you come to the charming village Deia and you continue a bit further you come to Soller and Port de Soller. If you run all the way in one go, it takes 30 minutes but chances are that you want to stop a few times on the way to enjoy the view.
