The Location
St. Martin de Belleville is a charming traditional village linked into Les Trois Vallées, the largest ski area in the world. Complete with a 16th century church, a village square and perched on the side of a mountain, the resort is surrounded by lightly wooded areas, creating a classic Alpine setting. There is plenty to do in St. Martin de Belleville during all seasons. The mountainous surrounding offers a range of skiing in the winter as well as good walking and cycling in the summer.
At an altitude of 1450 metres Saint Martin de Belleville is not a purpose built ski resort. It is the chef lieu (chief town) of the Belleville Valley. Many years ago the local town hall decided that it wanted St Martin to remain a traditional mountain village, and retain its thriving village community all year round.
