This property is set in a fortified borgo dating from the eleventh century, in an elevated position (650 m above sea level) and dominant Monti Martani, in the municipality of Acquasparta.
At about 15 Km from the E45 highway, the fortified village is located south-west of Spoleto (20 km), in a picturesque, unspoilt area; rich in fortified settlements and medieval castles. The area is well known by hikers, with many trails that wind through the Martani Mountains.
It seems that the castle was dating back to Roman times, as witnessed by some inscriptions found in the nearby Carsulae. It was however one of the first fortified towns built by Arnolfi, being also the seat of government in the thirteenth century.
Over the years there has not been done any intrusive building works; the fortified town still preserves its original elongated structure, with towers at the corners.
In the village there are restaurants and a bar-tobacco shop with small grossers. Schools and shops are at 10 Km.

The property for sale is independent on all 4 sides and located right in the center of the old part of town, with the main entrance opening onto the square of the church (XIII century); This prestigious property for sale almost certainly dates back to the founding date of the castle, thus being of great historical-architectural importance, although not subject to constraints.
