This wonderful villa is set over the hill of Cerro das Mós, overlooking Monchique to the north and the Lagos bay to East, in the very quiet neighbourhood of only a few high quality Villas.
The property’s 278 m2 construction private area, comprises 3 Bedrooms (all on the 1st floor, one En-Suite), plus a children's play area on a ground-floor room, that could easily be converted into a 4th Bedroom, ample living areas and a nice 635 m2 plot, with nicely sized pool and lovely garden, all south facing, with lots of light.
Very well built, only 7 years ago, but completely renewed in 2016, always by the same good Portuguese traditional building company. Exterior double wall with projected insulation, so that no heat or cold comes from the outside.
The property is globally very well maintained and with very spacious living areas, it comprises a spacious hallway with a very high ceiling and 2 floors: a main ground floor and a 1st floor, interconnected by a stylish modern wood & steel staircase.
The ground-floor, after the huge hall, comprises a spacious and bright living room, with snooker table, fireplace and in-built lighting. There is a separate dining area on the right, interconnected to the open plan modern kitchen, full of state-of-the-art appliances.
At the entrance to the right there is a service Bathroom, with shower and to the left a children’s play area, on a room that can easily be converted into a 4th Bedroom. There is also a Store-room and a Utility room, close to the Kitchen area.
Both the Dining and the Living areas, through wide sliding doors, open onto a big terrace, with outside covered dining area with furniture, south exposure and pool and garden view.
Up the elegant staircase, you reach the top-floor, which has 2 spacious bedrooms on your right and the elegant Master En-Suite Bedroom on your left.
The Bedrooms, one with a huge double bed, the other with twin beds (children’s bedroom), both with fitted wardrobes, share a common Bathroom, with shower. Each Bedroom has its own veranda, with very nice views.
The Master En-Suite Bedroom has a private Bathroom with jacuzzi bath and walk-in shower and a huge walk-in closet. The veranda outside is shared with the veranda from the children’s Bedroom. The Master En-Suite and the children’s Bedroom, connect through a children’s sized wooden door.
Outside there is a very nicely treated garden with bird cage and some lawned area, a covered BBQ nook with wood fire oven and a nicely sized swimming pool, prepared to receive a heating pump.
Access into the property from the street is done by a large electric sliding gate, and the garage also has an electronic door.
The property is very modern but with a traditional feel, is superbly finished and sports features such as double-glazed large windows, surround sound system, central vacuum system, water heating system, floor heating system, Air-Conditioning (equipment to be installed when sold), plenty of natural light and top-brand built-in appliances and finishes.
The Cerro das Mós is the main hill on your right when you enter Lagos coming from Eastern EN125, a residential and quiet neighbourhood, so downtown is just 1km away, in a straight line. It is very easy to get to all supermarkets (Continente on one side, Aldi on the other), cafes and shops, which are close by. The Boavista Golf Course is also just 3 minutes’ drive away.
About the Area:
Lagos is a municipality at the mouth of Bensafrim River and along the Atlantic Ocean, in the Barlavento region of the Algarve, in southern Portugal.
The main town of Lagos sees during the summer months its normal increase in residents, due to the influx of visiting tourists and seasonal residents. While the majority of the population lives along the coast and works in tourism and services, the inland region is sparsely inhabited, with the majority of the people working in agriculture and forestry. The city centre is sculpted with traditional architecture and colours from the region.
Lagos is still a small city, you can pretty much walk everywhere, it is one of the most visited cities in the Algarve and Portugal, due to its variety of tourist-friendly beaches (they vary in shape and style, from long sandy beaches to almost private ones hidden by cliffs), rock formations, bars, restaurants and hotels, renowned for its vibrant summer nightlife and parties. There is a bus and a train station to take you to other cities and taxis are abundant. Walk to the beautiful sandy golden beaches.
Lagos is also a historic centre of the Portuguese Age of Discovery, frequent home of Henry the Navigator and his historical shipyard. The harbour in the morning is full of activity. If you like to wake up early, don't miss it. Also the fish market is an interesting spot. In 2012, travel website TripAdvisor, classified Lagos as the number 1 travel destination, on a list of "15 destinations on the rise" worldwide.
