Set around an 18 hole golf course, the heart of the area is the Amarilla Golf and Country Club, whose facilities include a driving range, putting green, pro shop, equestrian centre and Club House with a tennis court, swimming pool, bar and restaurant. There is also a new marina which has room for 325 berths for boats over 10 metres in length. The marina complex is planned to include a commercial centre with coastal walkways and shops for tourists. The marina attracts sailing boats, providing a base for sailing holidays and is Tenerife´s largest yachting facility. A huge amount of money has been invested in infrastructural improvements in Amarilla Golf, making it one of the primary areas of Tenerife.

Golf
Inaugurated in 1989, Amarilla Golf and Country Club has been developed continually, in an area measuring around two million square metres. The 18 hole course is being complemented with another 18 holes. From the course, a player will enjoy the best possible views of the snowy peak of the majestic mount Teide, Spain´s highest mountain. The course itself is surrounded by a broad variety of typical Canarian flora. The designer of the course, Donald Steel, was able to take advantage of the beautiful contrasts of the Island to achieve a varied landscape between ravines and the Atlantic Coast. Needless to say, the ocean provides a spectacular backdrop to the game, and by the 5th hole the distinction between ocean and fairway becomes indistinct, as the player´s skills are tested with a drive over a particularly ambitious water feature: the Atlantic Ocean!

Transport
New roads linking to Golf del Sur have made the area much easier to access. From here, buses run directly to Playa De Las Americas, Los Cristianos, Los Abrigos and Santa Cruz. Amarilla Golf is a short 10 minute drive to Reina Sofia International Airport and a similar length of time to Las Americas.

Property
The property market in Amarilla Golf is one of enormous potential. Not only is the growth on property prices influenced by infrastructural improvements, such as the expansion of the golf course and construction of the marina. Property development here has been approved closely under the eye of the planners, and this has lead to a much higher standard of accommodation than that in the rest of the island. Newly constructed apartments are larger in size and tend to include luxuries such as marble floors or air conditioning. All new apartments have a minimum of two bedrooms. Villas are also built with the same high specifications. This is all good news for the investor, because the type of buyer the area will attract, for many years into the future, will be a more discerning buyer, with a higher budget to spend.
