This property is situated in a quiet part of the village of Bellevaux, only 300m from the commerces. According to its date stone the house was built 1770. It is a conventional Savoyard construction of the time were the family lived on the sunny side of the building, the livestock at the back with their own entrance and a large hayloft above.

The lower ground floor has a porch entrance with two doors, one to the kitchen, the other to the stables. From the kitchen there is a living room and very large bedroom a corridor with WC at the end and a large cellar. The main rooms have a great feeling of space with ceilings of 2.70m.

Access to the barn is from road level at the back of the building and from a side door in the porch area. This layout lends itself to (amongst other things) a potential drive-in covered parking. The barn is a massive 170m2 with enough height to add another floor. The view from this level out across the valley is fabulous, with the Cascade de Bellevaux just opposite.

There is a small amount of land, 250m2 that surrounds the property. Electricity and water is currently switched off, the mains drains are next to the property and need to be connected.

In the village 300m away you will find a bar/restaurant, post office, butcher, small superette and the bus stop for the ski bus. There are local schools including a good secondary college. Taking the trail that starts from the building you descend towards the Brevon river and can access many walking paths and the Via Ferrata on the cascade (waterfall) itself.

The nearest skiing is Hirmentaz or Espace Roc d'Enfer only 10mins drive, Ardent and Les Portes du Soleil 40mins away. Geneva centre is one hour's drive and Thonon-les-Bains 25mins.
