VARNENTSI AND THE NEARBY AREA
The area around the Village is lovely with amazing views. You can find in Varnentsi some shops and bars, the Town Hall, bus station, etc.
The village is located only 7 miles away from the Danube River, offering great recreation possibilities. One can rest, go fishing or simply bask in the sun by the river shore.
In the area there is the famous Saint Marina's Monastery in the nearby Village of Syanovo. It's believed that in the Chapel there is spring water with curative properties.Some Brits have already invested in this area.

Varnentsi is located only 7 miles away from Tutrakan. The town, also a port, is an important fishing ground on the Danube River. Fishing, knitting fishing nets and boat-building are traditional crafts in Tutrakan.
Birds are the biggest biological treasure of the area. Sightseeing includes a boat trip to Pozharevo Island.
Houses and churches from the National Revival period have been preserved and the fishermen's neighbourhood (Ribarskata Mahala) is the only architectural complex of this kind in Bulgaria.
It is here that the river makes a majestic bend and at sunset dazzles the spectator with a memorable view of the sun dipping into the calm waters to rest.
Silistra Region is situated in North-eastern Bulgaria, on the bank of the Danube River.It is bounded by the regions of Ruse, Razgrad, Shumen and Dobrich. It also borders on Romania by the Danube River.

There are numerous archeological artifacts throughout the region - Thracian mounds, remnants of fortresses, the unique Silistra sepulcher.
