This prestigious historic property with luxury tourist accommodation was renovated in 2005, making better use of the existing space, while respecting the original architectural features, using, and retaining the original materials. These have been preserved over the centuries, like some of the stone and terracotta floors, sturdy chestnut wooden beamed ceiling and some of the old doors. The original stone building has been preserved, while the expansion and renovations have been built with anti-seismic blocks. There are external walls finished with colored plaster and the roof is made up of various layers; the internal wooden frame, waterproof sealing and insulation, double ventilation, terracotta tiles, gutters and copper rhone pipes. The ceilings are, for the most part, in wood with overlying concrete. The entire property has been renovated and adapted to the current anti-seismic regulations. All floors are of hand made terracotta tiles, which have been appropriately treated to give 'an old style' finish, except those of some bedrooms, which have 4 cm thick pine flooring that have been treated and finished. Skilled artisans made the double-fired terracotta ceramic ware in the bathrooms and kitchens. The sanitary ware, taps, fixtures and fittings in the bathrooms have been inspired by the style used at the beginning of the twentieth century. The interior doors and windows are made from solid treated pine and wrought iron. The windows with rear views have painted pine shutters that have the 'chestnut look '. There is a well ordered garden outside.
