Ideally located a few minutes from famed Chaweng and Choeng Mon beaches and ten minutes from the airport, Samujana's location is complimented by its unobstructed views of The Gulf of Thailand and its world-class villas.


27 unique individual villas have been designed by Gary Fell of GFAB Architects, winners of the award for Best Architecture in the World 2011 from the Bloomberg/Google International Property Awards.  Of the 27 villas, 18 are completed. The designs are modern with a Thai style and outfitted with western-style luxury fixtures and furniture, designer kitchens and open-plan indoor/outdoor living areas.


Each of these one-of-a-kind villas is built around the natural topography of the Samujana site, often incorporating a great deal of the native sloping coastal incline into the villa itself. The roofs either have plants growing on them, stone gardens, or reflecting pools, which not only keep the villas cooler, but also enhance the natural look and feel of the villas. Excavated rock was used as part of the cladding, which helps reduce heat build-up along with the roofs, and a series of courtyards often with water features help to move cooling breezes through them. Aside from their aesthetic beauty, Samujana villas are absolutely designed for their occupants, with the comfort of the residents always at the forefront of the architects' mind.


The Samujana site is situated on a gently sloping hillside, allowing each of the bespoke villas to have multiple panoramic ocean and island views as well as beach access. Privacy for occupants is maximized by the design and orientation of the villas, and whilst roofs of other villas are visible, they do not obstruct the views.


Construction of Phase 2 of Samujana began in 2011 and was officially launched in March 2012. Phase Two villas are located higher on the hillside, providing unique northern and western sea views. Of the ten villas in Phase Two, 8 villas are still available for sale with 2 of the villas already complete and ready for occupancy. These sophisticated 3 to 8 bedroom villas feature spectacular panoramic sea and island views over private pools.


The villas in Phase Two not only look out on the ocean to their south, but also have northern and westerly views, providing sunset views over the ocean in addition to the world class south-facing views over beaches and islands that are enjoyed by the entire project.


Initially designed as a group of individually owned and run villas, the development has evolved into being an integrated villa resort with some central facilities already built and more planned. The Samujana Estate Company is responsible for the management of the estate. It is controlled by a committee that represents interests of the owners and is run for the long-term benefit of the owners.


Amenities include designer kitchens, open-plan indoor/outdoor living areas, infinity pools, private cinemas, wine cellars, poolside salas, and game rooms. Construction of a world-class spa on the site is expected to complete this year.


Furthermore, a concierge/reception building will be built at the new entry to the estate.  There are also plans for a kids club to be built near this new reception area.
