Situated just a few miles away from the coast, with views of Mont-St-Michel from the gardens. The farmhouse is located halfway between St-Malo and Avranches, with the picturesque towns of Fougères and Dinan close by. Set in a hamlet and is surrounded by peaceful, unspoilt countryside. Built in the 18th century, the farmhouse and its buildings originally formed part of the estate belonging to La Rue's manoir. Fresh bread is delivered to La Rue three times a week or is available every day from the boulangerie in Roz-sur-Couesnon (a mile away). Roz-sur-Couesnon also has a boucherie and a small grocery shop.

For visiting family friends or holiday makers the home is ideally placed with the ferry port of St Malo just 25 mins, Caen 45 mins or Roscoff for sailing to Plymouth and Ireland around 2.5 hours.

Le Fenil Gite (sleeps up to 9 people)

Le Fenil is a light and airy four-bedroom gîte which accommodates up to nine people plus a cot. Converted from an old hayloft (le fenil), the gîte has its own private garden with a garden table, chairs and a parasol. Stone steps from the garden lead up to the front door of the gîte, which opens into a spacious open-plan living area with vaulted ceilings. The large fitted kitchen area is equipped with a modern gas cooker, a large fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a microwave.

Abricot (sleeps up to 5 people) & Romarin (sleeps up to 4 people)

Abricot and Romarin are both two-bedroom gîtes created from a traditional stone barn. They both have the same layout but slightly different décor. In addition, Abricot's bathroom has a bath with a shower over it - Romarin's bathroom just has a shower. Each has its own private garden equipped with a garden table, chairs and a parasol - and there's an apricot tree in Abricot's garden and rosemary bushes in Romarin's garden! The gîtes both have large, open-plan living rooms with kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The fitted kitchens have a modern gas cooker, a fridge and a microwave.

A covered hangar in the grounds is a great place to have a barbecue and dine alfresco. Guests are also welcome to sample ripe fruit and nuts from our numerous fruit trees, which include cherry, peach, plum and walnut trees.

The gardens are a mix of formal lawn areas' with plenty of places to relax & unwind. There is a small paddock that will suit livestock such as a sheep. Views of Mont St Michel. Established flower beds borders and hedging compliment the remainder. The gardens and grounds extend to approx. 2 acres in total.

There is ample parking to the front for several cars.

The property has a work shop, store area, office area and summer sleepover bedroom with shower facilities.
