LA SELLA GOLF RESORT- Pedreguer 03750 Where is La Sella Golf Resort? Is an urbanisation within Pedreguer and is situated approximately 1 hour drive from Alicante and Valencia Airports. The main AP7 motorway junction 62 which is the Denia/Javea/Ondara turn off if you head towards Pedreguer on the CV-724. Denia is the main coastal town which is around a 15 minutes’ drive and all water sports, scuba diving, paddle boarding, wind surfing and kite surfing can be found. The beaches are all BLUE FLAG which means the water and beaches are safe for swimming in and due to the Mediterranean sea the waters are shallow so popular with families. By bus (Beniconnect) from Alicante will stop at La Xara just a few minutes’ drive away from La Sella and there are taxis that will bring you to the urbanisation. Tram from Alicante to La Xara, the tram is cheap and a very picturesque way to travel up the coast, this way you can take in all the views. From La Xara you can then catch a taxi to Urbanisation La Sella. Taxi from the airport can be expensive however there are taxis that are much cheaper when you get to know people in the town. The Urbanisation of La Sella Some of the first properties here were built in the late 1980’s early 1990’s and building has been controlled and regulated which means the majority of properties here are legal and have all the relevant permissions. Of course in the earlier days some of the pools, patios etc were not registered on the deeds of the properties but this is not a problem they just get registered when the new owner purchases. Local Supermarkets What the local mini market does not have you can find in La Xara Masymas or Pedreguer Masymas where you will find a massive selection of all foods, fresh breads, meats, cheeses basically everything you can think of. Bars and Restaurants Alongside the Golf club restaurant, there are some other great places to eat. 1. Armells Bar and Brasserie is situated just outside the La Sella Golf Resort and has signposts from the La Sella Urbanisation to La Xara road. Do not worry if you miss one turn then there will be others. The food is typically Spanish and cooked on an open fireplace in the winter and the outside bbq in the summer months. Steak Special is a huge T Bone steak and is a delight for the meat eaters. Fresh fish and vegetarian meals are also catered for. Traditional Valencian Paella made fresh from generations of family recipes. 2. Taberna Antigua is a beautiful elegant restaurant serving excellent cuisine and catering for all. The staff are always welcoming making a very relaxing atmosphere. The lamb is one of the favourites, not greasy of fatty just succulent meat. Ask the waitress about dessert it will always be a delight. Situated just outside the main entrance of Urbanisation La Sella. 3. Restaurant Cal Blanc Menjars a quality restaurant with several starters included and a choice of main courses and deserts. Beautifully presented and equally delicious. Tucked away in the back streets of this beautiful town the address is on Trip Advisor and if you put into the sat nav it will take you there. Fiestas As well as all the fiestas in Pedreguer Urbanisation La Sella have their own fiesta usually in June or July it is a street party with music, dancing, raffle for charity and generally just a fun evening. Views from Urbanisation La Sella, every property has a view, mountain, sea, golf or national park. Nearest Beaches The nearest beaches are in Denia, Les Marines here you will find an abundance of things to do, white sand sun drenched with very few tourists. Miles of sand stretch from Denia to Gandia. Just 10 minutes by car. Water sports are in designated areas along the beach, kyte surfing, paddle surfing and if you fancy the jump on the banana boat for a high speed jet across the blue waters.
