Novo Gradishte is in immediate proximity to the Town of Strazhitsa (13 km) and about an hour away from Veliko Turnovo. It is a small, but developed village with all basic amenities. Novo Gradishte has regular buses to the municipality centre. There are shops, pubs, post office, transport to nearby villages/towns, etc
Novo Gradishte is a peaceful village, offering you nothing but a great retirement location or a rural holiday place. There is a large dam nearby, the Strajitsa Dam, and the river Goliama Reka passes very close, giving opportunities for fishing.

The Municipality of Strajitsa occupies part of the fore-balkan and the Danubian Plain. Many important communications of regional and national significance pass through its territory. The Railway line Sofia-Gorna Oryahovitsa-Varna is of national significance.
Water resources are defined by the rivers Stara Reka, Lefedja, Golyama Reka, Kazaldere and Shipa, and also by 30 micro-dam lakes, the largest of which is Kazaldere. The natural settings of the Strajitsa Municipality are favourable for the development of tourism - fishing, hiking, hunting, eco-tourism and others. The villages in the semi-mountainous area are particularly suitable for developing rural tourism.
Strazhitsa has a railway station on the Sofia-Varna railway line, located some 33km from the railway station of Popovo and some 27km from the railway station of Gorna Oryahovitsa.
The Historical Veliko Turnovo, located on the famous "Yantra River" (the 3rd longest Bulgarian tributary of the Danube River) is one of the most seeked destinations for tourists in Bulgaria.
Situated at the foot of Stara Planina Mountains in North Central Bulgaria, it attracts many tourists due to its unique architecture and history. The houses, stacked one above the other, situated on the sloppy hills of the city show a remarkable, unique architectural style.

There are several hotels in the resort which provide tourism opportunities and good conditions for relaxation among the quiet and calm atmosphere of the mountain throughout the year. The surrounding sites of Uzana are suitable for spaleology and rock climbing. There are possibilities for cultural tourism in the region. In the nearby open-air "Ethnographic Museum Etara" people can learn more about Bulgarian crafts. The"Sokolski Monastery" is situated a few miles away from Uzana.
