Situated between Yalikavak and Gumusluk is this fantastic development of villas and apartments. The complex is very well maintained and has facilities including two communal swimming pools, off street parking, sun terraces, a lovely restaurant and a bar.
Yalikavak is now becoming one of the most cosmopolitan marina towns on the peninsula whilst still retaining its charm and culture. Yalikavak has a small, but busy centre and a harbour where fishing boats moor, and it is possibly the most upmarket resorts along the Bodrum Peninsula.
There are a wide selection of bars, cafes and restaurants in the town centre and on the seafront which attract many locals and tourists.
The ancient city of Yalikavak was located inland on one of the hills which is called Sandima and today the remains and the restorations should be seen. In today’s Yalikavak, you can see a few tombstones and the old city walls that still bear witness to the history of the town.
Yalikavak is now home to the new prestigious Palmarina, which plays host to some fantastic yachts and boats and it is open all year round. You can stroll round the designer shops, if you feel like joining the jet set, you can visit the Billionaire’s Club, only the second in Turkey after Istanbul, mixing contemporary style and luxury, with top quality service and a great music and atmosphere.
Gumusluk is the harbour of ancient Myndos and it is one of the oldest settlements on the peninsula. This area is steeped in history. Here are still a number of reminders of the area’s historical past with the stadium, theatre and walls surviving from ancient Myndos and a Byzantine church today restored as a cultural centre.
On top of the hill are the remains of Kadikalesi (Kadı Castle), a Hellenistic fortification, together with a Roman church and cistern. You can snorkel or scuba dive in the clear waters of Gumusluk and discover for yourself the ancient ruins of Myndos. This is one of the few places on the peninsula that has been awarded a blue flag. The seafront area here is famous for its seafood restaurants and great tea gardens, the perfect spot for a lovely evening out.
These villas all have two double bedrooms and the master bedroom has a balcony leading from it and enjoys lovely sea views. The second bedroom also has a Juliette balcony, so you can wake up to this stunning view every morning.
The downstairs has a large open plan lounge area and kitchen with patio doors leading onto the private garden terrace. There is one family bathroom and one downstairs cloakroom for added convenience.
These villas are spacious inside and have plenty of outside space with their balconies and roof terrace, which are ideal places to enjoy alfresco dinning and adds an additional 40 square metres of living space. Finally, for added security there are CCTV cameras and a night watchman.
These villas are ideal to use as family holiday homes, live in all year round, or to rent out as an investment property.
