Perugia, the Umbrian capital city, hosts an airport with direct flights to London Stansted and other European destinations is about the same distance away.

Other airports with many more destination options include Pisa, Rome (Ciampino and Fiumicino) and Bologna. All are around 2-2 hours away from the house. We use Pisa and Rome frequently.
