Both are passionate about flyfishing and the opportunity to walk off the back porch to cast a line on the 1000 feet of river frontage was thrilling.
The property has historical significance as it was previously owned by renowned conservationist Otto "Mose" Teller. Otto Teller was an avid fly-fisherman and hunter who spent over 50 years in the Bitterroot Valley. He used his influence to purchase river and farm properties for conservation purposes. Otto Teller was instrumental in the creation of the Teller Wildlife Refuge in the Bitterroot Valley which is a 1200 acre private non-profit refuge open to the public. His deep connection with the Bitterroot River was evident when he purchased the land which is now being offered for sale. This was Otto's final summer home.
In keeping with the natural beauty of the river the owners designed a riverside cabin style home to compliment the native flora and fauna. The exterior utilizes a maintenance free corten roof and rough edge pine board on board siding.
