The house was newly renovated in 2008 and 2009, with new roof, new PVC double glazed windows and doors and all new wiring and plumbing.

The village has around 1 000 people and is just 23 km from Stara Zagora and 20 km from Kazanlak. The village has 3 or 4 shops selling pretty much everything you need from vegetables to eggs and bread and cleaning products. There is also a small DIY shop and a fireplace shop. There is a lovely old church and a new kindergarten, post office and visiting doctor. There are 2 or 3 small bars. There are regular buses to the larger towns.
Just a couple of kilometers down the road is mineral spa, where you will find a new hotel complex with an outdoor and indoor pool, massage and spa facilities, a good restaurant and bar. There is also the older traditional hot baths and outdoor pool and recreation area. There is another hotel complex with small outdoor pool and fabulous restaurant as well as a nice little center with shops and cafes. The neighboring villages have train stations from where you can get direct trains through to Sofia, Plovdiv and Veliko Turnovo.
In the vicinity of the village there are two large lakes for water sports as well as a water park and the world famous Thracian burial mounds. Kazanlak is also the centre for Rose oil production and each year there is a parade and festival, visited by dignitaries from around the world. Kazanlak has several larger supermarkets like Billa and Kaufland. The small municipality town of Magleesh is just a 5 minute drive from the village and here there is a small daily vegetable market and more shops and cafes and restaurants.
The village has the advantage of being in the middle of two mountain ranges and so has fantastic views, great walking and mountain biking. There are many small tarns to fish in, including a couple right on the edge of the village.
The village is located very close to the main road from Sofia to Burgas. This is now a lovely quiet and scenic route through to the coast, as most traffic now uses the motorway. It takes 2 hours to reach Burgas, where there is an international airport and of course it is then only a short distance to Sunny Beach, Nessebar and Sozopol. Plovdiv is just over an hour's drive and there is another airport there. Sofia is about a 3 hour drive.
