Situated in the contrada or section of Arpino known as "Arco", this 3 level town house enjoys wonderful views over the historic town centre and to the spectacular mountains ranges beyond.
The house was completely renovated and decorated in 2011.
Entry to the property is through a wrought iron gate, directly to the front entertaining deck. Surrounded by fencing, it is just awaiting the addition of some climbing plants that will ensure all the privacy you need. A small wooden cabin opens up onto this deck and provides a space to store summer furniture.
The front deck leads directly into the kitchen and dining room, most conveniently situated for easy summer entertaining. The kitchen features charming country style cream painted wooden cabinetry with new stainless steel appliances as well as plenty of storage space. A corner fireplace and central heating ensure the house will be warm in winter.
To the rear of the room a marble staircase takes you up to what is presently configured as the master bedroom level. A large, luxurious room, this bedroom has a recessed walk-in robe and a beautiful bathroom en-suite. The front facing windows provide stunning views as well as plenty of light.
The 3rd level of the home is currently set up as a large study and living area. Already provided with a luxurious bathroom, and with the addition of a sofa bed or wall-mounted Murphy bed, this level could readily double as a guest bedroom. Alternatively, an interior wall could easily be built to divide off what is presently the study area, thus creating a permanent second bedroom (or separate study) with an adjacent bathroom.
From the 3rd floor a separate outdoor staircase at the back of the house brings you up to the roof top terrace. With incredible panoramic views, this space would be perfect to enjoy summer breakfasts and evening sunset drinks.

ARPINO AND THE CIOCIARIA
Arpino is one of the major medieval hilltop towns in the area of Italy called the Ciociaria, the name given to the fertile land that lies south of Rome but north of Naples, situated inland in the hills in the heart of Italy.
The Ciociaria region is within easy reach of both Rome and Naples and their respective airports. A day's shopping in Rome is a common pastime, while an even shorter drive brings you to the charming beaches south of Rome. Alternatively, drive east, and the mountains of the Abruzzo National Park await with horse trekking in the magnificent beech forests, and sparkling mountain lakes and rivers where you can swim in the heat of the summer. And at the other extreme of temperature, although Arpino itself is temperate, less than an hour's drive brings you to the winter ski slopes.
Often overlooked, both by tourists and by those foreigners in search of an Italian home, in favour of the more publicized regions of Tuscany and Umbria, the Ciociaria remains largely an unspoilt gem with beautiful scenery and medieval hilltop towns. A home or second home in the Ciociaria, in the hilltop towns of Arpino, Veroli, Alatri or in the rolling countryside that surrounds them, will afford you a setting where over two thousand years of history combine with an idyllic rural Italian lifestyle, where you can still discover the 'real' Italy and take time out from the busy crowds of the larger tourist cities, while being less than ninety minutes journey from central Rome or either of Rome's two airports.
