This medieval traditional stone village is some 580 miles by autoroute from Calais, 1h15 drive from Marseilles airport; 1h30 drive from Lyon airport. The TGV stations of Valence and Avignon are an hour by car.

The village holds several events in the main square throughout the year, such as celebrating its Saint's day every August and has a tennis and hunting club. The nearest town is Grignan, some 4 km away, which attracts tourists for its Château, its link with the Marquise de Sévigné and numerous craft markets. The large town of Montélimar, famous for its Nougat and shopping, is 20 km away. The well-known gorge of Ardèche and the Pont du Gard are within two hours' drive.

The area is noted for the growing of lavender, olives, various fruits and nuts, as well as the production of Côtes Du Rhone wines. There are local markets every day of the week, where all the local fresh produce can be bought.

The climate is Mediterranean; the Atlantic weather is held at bay by the foothills of the Alps. The altitude at the centre of the village is 900 feet and the views from the terrace include Mount Ventoux to the east and the Dentelles to the south.
