Another interesting example of Early Gothic influence can be found in the courtyard where there is an open staircase and a well in the middle. The pianno nobile also has a unique wooden Gothic vaulted ceiling, a Byzantine and Gothic quadrifora (four-light window) leading to the outdoor courtyard and the flooring has been done in the pastellone technique. The long and rich history of the palace has been upheld by its owners; an artistic family of painters and writers called Fonseca. 

The piano nobile is composed of a wide and impressive entrance reception room of approx.40 sqm, a large living room of approx. 60 sqm; both of these sunny rooms enjoy an open view of San Polo square and feature pastellone floorings and high and decorated beamed ceilings. On the same level of the reception and living rooms there is a master bedroom with an en suite bathroom with a relaxing and comfortable steam room. In the reception room there is a hidden door that opens onto an internal staircase leading to a laundry room and toilet. Another staircase at the back of the reception room leads to a mezzanine level composed of a small sofa area overlooking the reception room, a double bedroom with a dressing room and an en suite bathroom.
