Leisure Facilities on the grounds of Renyvle House Hotel & Resort as a resident of Renvyle Strand during your stay. (Please enquire at the Hotel Reception in advance of using facilities)

The lake boats are available for Timeshare Residents' use. Please ask Reception for a key. They require a security deposit of €20.00 which will be returned to you once the boat, oars etc are all in place after use. All participants must wear a life jacket, Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (a person over 18 years of age). Life jackets are available in reception.

There is a trout Fishing on Rusheenduff Lough (the Hotel's Private Lake). Only fly-fishing is permitted. Lake boats are available for this activity, please ask reception for a key. The security deposit for using a boat is €20.00. The Bag Limit is 1 Trout per rod. Instruction can be arranged with our qualified Hardy & Greys instructor Jackie :Coyne and classes can be arranged at Reception.

There is good Sea Fishing from the shoreline, directly in front of the hotel. Pollack, Mackerel (when in Season) and a variety of other fish. The best results are with German Sprat, Toby or Feathers. The best time for sea fishing is one hour before full tide for a three-hour period.

The Pebble Beach Golf Course is located between the hotel lake and the Atlantic Ocean. We recommend that you take a score card from the Hotel Reception and here is a map of the course on the back, There is a limited number of clubs available for rent.
Golf starts from the 01st of April to the middle of November. This facility is free to all our residents. Trolley Hire: €20.00; Golf Balls: €1.50. These are all available at Reception.

Slides, swings and a sandpit, close to all Tennis Courts and Swimming pool for younger guests enjoyment.

Racquets and balls are available at Reception. The two all weather tennis courts are located on the south side of the hotel. At very bushy times the courts must be booked in advance.

Outdoor heated swimming pool open during the summer months and free for guests to use. There is no lifeguard on duty so the Pool Rules need to be adhered to. Children are required to be accompanied by a person over 16 years at all times while in the gated pool area.

There are a number of lovely walking routes within the area and details of these are available from the Hotel Reception.


Situated near Letterfrack, this 5,000 acre park is of outstanding scenic and ecological value. The Park Visitors Centre contains an exhibition of the various features of the park, a lounge area and an audio-visual room for slideshows. The park is open all year round. There is a path walk to the top of Diamond Hill that is worth the trek for the views alone.

At Kylemore, overlooking the lake, stands the imposing fairy tale Gothic castle built by wealthy Liverpool merchant Mitchell Henry in the 1860's. It is now a convent run by the Benedictine Nuns of Ypres. Visitors are welcome to the restaurant and craft shop. On the grounds stands the beautiful Gothic Chapel built by Henry, and ornamented with Connemara Marble. The beautifully restored Victorian Walled Gardens are also worth a visit while there. Please enquire at reception for tickets where we have secured special rates for our guests.

These neighbouring islands all have a regular ferry service to and from the mainland. Daily sailings on board the Island Discovery from Cleggan Pier make a day trip to Inish Bofin a great excursion during your stay. Clifden Tourist office will have current details about all sailings to these islands (095 21163).

Activities available for all age groups. Full-day or half-day activities are available. Test your strength on the high poles or zip wire. Sailing courses and kayaking courses and lots more. Please ask for more information on rates at Reception. www.killary.com

A certified PADI diving centre on the Renvyle Peninsula. The Grey family cater for beginners and experienced divers alike. Equipment may be hired on site. Please ask at reception for more information. www.scubadivewest.com

We recommend Cleggan Beach Riding Centre (Judy or Siobhan Cazabon) in Cleggan. It is an Approved centre. You will need to book directly with them 095-44746. They have alovely variety of treks including one at Omey Island (an island accessed at low tide). www.clegganridingcentre.com

This group of three island is in South Connemara and worth a visit. The large island (Inis Mór) is home to the impressive stone fortress petched on the edge of the 300ft Cliff, Dun Aonghus. The islands are serviced by Aer Arann (091) 593034 or by sea by the Aran Island Ferry (091) 566535.

Additional costs in purchase are: €4,000 development contribution cost plus €4,000 once off connextion to Local Group Water Scheme
