- Total area: 17395 sqm
- Construction year: 0
Located just 5 minutes away from the town centre, nestled between valleys on the Algarvean coastline, this 17,395m2 plot of land is greeted to the south by the Atlantic Ocean and to the east by a 9-hole golf course.
The property is the last large construction area available in this mature part of Carvoeiro, meaning that other bigger developments have already been established and no significant changes are expected to affect the project's stunning sea views. Being surrounded by other up-market properties guarantees you to have an enjoyable secure neighbourhood.
Its unique seaside location is within walking distance of some of the Algarve's best golden sandy beaches and a panoply of highly reviewed restaurants, with two prominent 2-star Michelin restaurants within 10 to 20 minutes driving distance.
The current approved plans for the property illustrate a magnificent gated community with 2,927m2 of construction area comprising 16 high-standard three-bedroom houses, one five-bedroom villa, reception facilities, two swimming pools, a bar, a putting green and a playground. Alternatively, building permission could be granted for the construction of a large luxury house of more than 2,000m2 for the main residence and additional housing for guests/employees.
The stunning grounds are bursting with maturely aged flora, featuring centennial olive trees scattered throughout, alongside eucalyptus trees, a pine forest and a citrus grove, creating a fully private oasis within a bustling town environment.
Whilst many common areas were designed to give residents a sense of community, it is foreseen that each house will have its own private areas and carport.
Houses on the higher ground will have privileged and uninterrupted views of the crystal blue ocean. All properties will open onto lush green gardens that blend into the natural beauty of the terrain.
Two ancient rock walls and a plethora of old trees form the border of the largest swimming pool, which will have a sweeping view into the blossoming citrus orchards.
This area of the Algarve opens a gateway to the world: a 40-minute drive takes you from within the gated community to Faro International airport, whilst Lisbon and Seville airports are only 2 hours away.
Carvoeiro, which sits at the heart of western Algarve, was once a traditional little fishing village thriving on tuna catches. Nowadays it has become an incredibly popular destination due to its sandy white beaches, blue water ocean and golden sunshine, wherein hotels and resorts have been developed to keep up with demand.
This beautifully sheltered bay and beach is spread out just in front of the main town-square, with protecting cliffs found on either side.
A nice selection of restaurants, bars and cafés is within easy walking distance and offer a great choice of national and international cuisine.
The spanning cliff tops around Carvoeiro offer plenty of great views and walking routes, where you will come across some *algares*, where the sea has eaten away the cliffs from below, creating large openings in the rock. On the cliff above Carvoeiro you will also see the remains of the walls of the Fort of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception dating from the 17th century, inside which is the hermitage of Our Lady of the Incarnation.
Golf & Other Activities
An astonishing forty-two 9-hole and 18-hole golf courses are available to play at thirty-five clubs registered with the Portuguese Golf Federation.
Just a short distance from the property is a beautiful 9-hole par 3 course, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The course is a scaled-down version of a full sized course, designed by Dave Thomas, player in the Ryder Cup, who has designed over 40 golf courses.
After a short 15-minute drive you will come across two additional golf courses. One of these was designed by Ronald Fream, renowned American golf course architect, and has held the European Seniors Tour for eight consecutive times; the other was created in partnership with Nick Price, former number 1 on the Official World Golf Ranking, and is an 18-hole course featuring 27 greens. With so many types of terrain spread across the Algarve's 155km coastline, you can enjoy a myriad of other activities: walking, hiking, cycling, horse riding, tennis, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, windsurfing, go karting and motorcycle or automobile racing, skydiving, flying lessons, yachting and fishing.
