Situated on a South facing hillside in the Solano area of Colmenar, this delightful character country house offers comfortable and attractive living accommodation, with the ability to enjoy outdoor living for much of the year in this gloriously beautiful area on its own, large, very private plot.

Access is very good, with only a short dirt track (around 300m) that is passable all year round. The nearest neighbours are around 200m from the house. There is a lovely country bar and restaurant within 1km of the property, and the villages of Riogordo, Colmenar and Comares are all within a 15 minute drive and Malaga is 40 minutes.

The end of the track leads to the car parking area (plenty of space for several cars). From here, an archway welcomes one into the inner gardens around the house, and to the large covered terrace (6 x 3.5m). This lovely covered outdoor space, with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside, is used as an outdoor living room for much of the year, acting as welcome shade from the hot Summer sun and protection from the rain in the Autumn and Spring showers. Around the corner of the house is a second covered area, consisting of a complete outdoor kitchen and barbecue area. Beyond, along a little path edged with flowering shrubs, is the casita. This consists of a store room of around 15m2. It might be possible to convert this into an additional guest room and shower here, or keep it as very useful storage space.

Beyond the casita, a pathway leads down the hill to a lower garden where the current owners enjoy the above ground pool in the Summer months, but it can be conveniently packed away for the Winter. A little path takes one all around the plot and back up to the entrance to the property. Although the land is sloping, it is all useable and it would be easy to grow vegetables and fruit trees here for domestic use, keep a few chickens, etc.

Back at the house, from the covered terrace, the front door leads into the living and dining room (6 x 4.5m) with an extremely efficient cast iron woodburner to keep the whole house cosy in the cooler months. To the rear, a brick decorated archway leads into an attractive, fully fitted kitchen (4 x 1.8m) with pretty Andalusian tiling and a glazed blue tiled work surface.

To the right of the living room, a short passage leads to the bedrooms and bathrooms.

To the right is bedroom 1, (4 x 2.5m including a built-in wardrobe), and a door from within this room leads into a spacious and comfortable ensuite shower room (2.25 x 1.5m) with a tiled walk-in shower cubicle.

To the left of the passage is bedroom 2, in an L shape, 3 x 3m plus 3 x 1.8m, with fitted wardrobe/dressing area. And the family bathroom is 2.8 x 2.2m with bath and overhead shower, and attractive tiling.
