From Donegal Airport, turn right onto the R266. At the T junction turn right onto the R259 heading for Kincasslagh. On leaving Kincasslagh, pass the school on the right and proceed for a short distance until you see a sign to the right for Cruit Island, the golf course and Donegal thatched cottages, and over the bridge crossing on a causeway onto the island. Continue along the lane and after approximately 3 kilometres from the bridge, Cruit Island house is found on the right just passed the thatched cottages. Its entrance is flanked by stone walls on either side with wrought iron gates.
