Full description:

A private peninsula of 8 hectares on the oceanfront, surrounded by five tropical islands. There is over 1 kilometre of golden sand beachfront with 6,000 trees.

Located at the end of a peninsular above the little fishing village of Siung, a road winds its way from the village through mangrove trees towards the property.

It is a lush hidden valley with around 5000 tropical hardwood trees, including teak, ironwood and mahogany. This planting has proved to be an immense blessing as it has protected the soil from erosion, created massive shady trees and greatly increased the water table. There are two wells which provide water all year round.

The property is about 20 acres in total (8 hectares) which includes rolling hills, a beautiful valley, and is surrounded by golden sand beaches with clear warm tropical waters, ideal for scuba diving, fishing and numerous other water activities.

There is a 160m long jetty which also provides a wonderful swimming platform directly over a coral reef. The whole property is surrounded by coral reefs, full of a myriad tropical reef fish species, turtles and the occasional dugong.

Mambo Sun is surrounded by five tropical islands, all easily reached by boat, no more than ten minutes away. Some of these islands are barely inhabited, providing stunning places to have a beachside picnic, go shell searching and snorkel over the numerous coral reefs.

Recently, two excellent restaurants have arrived on neighboring Gili Asahan, which can be reached in five minutes by boat. Also on the other side of the peninsula is Gili Gede, which is home to a few upmarket beach resorts and soon to have its own marina.

There is a small boathouse and scuba diving room at one end of the jetty. The water surrounding mambo has truly excellent diving and snorkeling, as well as wind surfing, fishing and surfing. At the end of the jetty there is a floating platform that can accommodate a boat and there is a mooring buoy with more than 20 metres (60 feet) of depth underneath.

Along the beach are several different species of trees that provide an avenue of shade extremely close to the water, ideal for lazy afternoons of reading on a sun lounger or having a snooze.

There are four teak wooden houses all with their own bathroom and a beachside kitchen.

There is a huge valley with hills at either end which provide numerous pleasant walking opportunities, and on the hills, spectacular 360 degree views of the surrounding islands. It truly has become a sanctuary for wildlife.

It is exceptionally quiet in Mambo, no traffic, no cars and no pollution. The nearby fishing villages provide an ocean view of brightly colored sails as they daily go about their catch. This is a very unspoilt part of the world and to be treasured as such.

Recently the Lombok Government has provided brand new roads linking the property to the International Airport. This is a drive of about one hour, fifteen minutes to the nearest village.

Bali is only 20 minutes by plane to Lombok International airport or you can take ferries or chartered boats too. Lombok airport has direct flights to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Australia. They have a visa on arrival at the airport so one can miss out on transiting from Bali now.

Mambo Sun could make an excellent location for luxury boutique hotels, gorgeous villas or a private escape. It is close to Bali without all the headache of traffic and noise. The rest is up to your imagination.

Location

Mambo Sun is situated on the far North side of the Sekotong area, the last bay before Desert Point. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty with coral reefs, crystal clear water and only small fishing villages nearby.
