Casa Moncisterna is set in beautiful rolling rural countryside overlooking a valley while nevertheless being only a few minutes drive from the shops and restaurants of Arpino and Isola del Liri.

An extremely well-built house of 270 square metres designed and built decades ago by the present owners with every attention to detail, it is surrounded by 1,700 sq.mt of easily-manageable grounds.

Approached along a quiet country road, automatic wrought iron gates open on to a drive that curves between two small olive groves up to a two-level house. The main living areas are on the upper level to take advantage of the lovely panoramic views.

Arpino, the birthplace of the Roman orator Cicero, is one of the major medieval hilltop towns in the area of Italy called the Ciociaria, the name given to the fertile land that lies south of Rome but north of Naples, situated inland in the hills in the heart of Italy.
