This three bedroom home, with two sun terraces, is situated in the Historic white washed village of Mondujar. Close by are the ruins of a Castle used by the Granada Royal Family around 500 years ago. With views over the village square there is a lounge, dining room, kitchen and a bathroom to complement the bedrooms. There are two courtyards and two cave rooms. Granada is around 20 mins away and the beaches of the Costa Tropical around 25 mins. The Sierra Nevada is on the doorstep. There is the long distance path to Lanjaron and skiing is just over an hour away.

THE VILLAGE of MONDUJAR
The village of Mondujar is beside Lecrin or Talara. It is historically significant as the Moors were here around the time of the end of the Al Andalus Kingdom. Morayma and Mulay Hacen are known to be buried around here although they haven't found the exact place. There are ruins of a Castle just 600 metres from the village itself in an area called Cerro del Castillejo. This is known to be the first summer residence of the Royal Family of Granada 500 years ago.

WHATS in the VILLAGE
Near to the house (300 metres walk) is the restaurant/bar Acropolis with large public swimming pool (only open July & August). In the village there are restaurants, tapas bars, small village supermarkets, a pharmacy and several banks. For the keen walkers, the E4/GR-7 long distance path, runs near the village leading to Lanjarón (the Alpujarras).

THE LECRIN VALLEY
The Lecrin Valley is a lovely green, orchard-covered area at the foot of the dramatic Sierra Nevada mountain ranges. An area of outstanding natural beauty, the Lecrin Valley is famous for its verdant landscape (due to the melt-water run-off from the Sierra Nevada), its citrus groves, its walks, bird life and amazing spring colours. Oranges, lemons, figs, pomegranates and cactus line the roadsides.

GRANADA & BEACHES
Around half an hour to 45 minutes (depending where you choose to visit) are the many coastal towns of the beautiful Costa Tropical. Salobrena, Nerja, Almunecar and the city of Motril. Perfect as a holiday destination, away from the hustle and bustle. Historic and beautiful Moorish Granada is within easy reach- around 20 minutes. Here is the World Famous 'Alhambra Palace'. There are airports at Granada and at Malaga which is about 1 hour and 15 minutes away.

SIERRA NEVADA
The valley is on the edge of the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. Vineyards, olives, white washed villages, skiing, hiking and the opportunity for many outdoor pursuits.
