Nestled in the picturesque hills in the unique regional reserve of Campo Soriano, recently listed as one of Italy's last unspoilt places, and just a short drive to the beautiful coastal town of Terracina with its glorious beaches, Casale Mary is the ideal romantic Italian home many dream of, but seldom find. Casale Mary is located in the beautiful, unspoilt natural reserve of Campo Soriano. Positioned just 8 km in the hinterland of Terracina, Campo Soriano is rich in geological features including caves, limestone monoliths and underground lakes. The picturesque landscape here is famous for its wild flowers and was recently listed as one of Italy's last unspoilt places.

TERRACINA - 15 minutes drive from Casale Mary.

Terracina is located 102 km southeast of Rome, along the Old Appian Way, and 135 km from Naples. The town is set on the Tyrrhenian coastline, at the only point where the grand Ausonic mountains reach the sea. It features 15 km of coastline, golden sand and clear blue sea.

The modern town of Terracina is vibrant with many gourmet shops, bars, restaurants and interesting shops along its tree-lined boulevards, which lead directly to the wide sandy beaches and to the port. Each day ferries leave to the gorgeous Pontine Islands.
The old town of Terracina, the 'centro storico', is located a short 15 minute stroll up the hill. It features charming narrow streets, stone buildings and many historic sites to visit dating right back to Roman times. The incredible Roman 'Temple of Giove Anxur' is perched high on the top of Mount St. Angelo, looking straight over the sea and the modern town of Terracina below. Built to worship the young god Jupiter, this large complex of several buildings dates back to the 4th century B.C. In medieval times, the temple was used as a military structure, before becoming a Benedictine monastery until the 16th Century.

SPERLONGA - The whitewashed stone houses and narrow cobbled streets of Sperlonga are perched dramatically on the rocky cliffs edging the sea. Little boutique shops, bars, and restaurants add to the charm of the town, and the sandy, family friendly Sperlonga beaches are famous. There are many archeological places of interest to visit, including The Grotto of Tiberius, and a trip to the Archeological Museum is a must.

SAN FELICE CIRCEO - The elegant modern part of San Felice stretches out along the sea front - where a long promenade leads you straight to the glamorous marina. As is often the case, the old town is perched high above the modern centre, overlooking what seems like endless blue sea and beaches. The National Park of Circeo is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Italy's oldest Neanderthal man was found here.

SABAUDIA - The main attraction of Sabaudia is the Lungomare - the wonderful 30 km stretch of white sandy beach that features sand dunes which give the beach an almost wild feeling in parts. There are some great little bars and restaurants to enjoy right on the water's edge.

GAETA - A popular resort town since the Roman times, Gaeta became the centre of sea-trade in the Mediterranean during the medieval period. The peninsula is often referred to as the Odysseus Riviera - the Jewel of Lazio, and has a beautiful harbour on one side, gorgeous beaches on the other and rich unspoilt natural reserves & mountains surrounding it. The beautiful medieval quarters of Gaeta are set along the edge of this peninsula, taking full advantage of the glorious harbour of the Tyrrhenian Sea, dominated over by the magnificent 6th Century Aragonese Angevine Castle.
