This lovely country house is ideal for someone looking for something well up into the natural landscape of the mountains in this beautiful area, somewhere to relax, and 'chill out', maybe for holidays or weekend escapes, or to use as a base for hiking - it is possible to walk up to the peak of the Maroma mountain (highest in Malaga province) right from the house!
From close to the village, a stoney track leads off the main road and climbs steeply uphill for 800m to the house. The track continues on beyond the house up the mountain, but there are no other houses beyond this one. The track requires a 4×4 for regular use.
The views from the property are stunning! Facing South-West, from here you can see the whole of Lake Viñuela, a vast sea-scape, the valley and the mountains beyond. And the land has various flat terraces climbing up the hill, with many olive trees and other areas left to nature and full of wild flowers including wild orchids in Spring, and wild herbs such as rosemary and thyme, with their sweet scent filling the fresh mountain air! A little path leads on, beyond the tiled rear patio, all along the land to a gorge beyond.
The entrance to the property has a good sized gravel parking area for several cars and plenty of space for turning. To two sides of the house there are pergola covered tiled terrace areas, of around 5 x 2.5m on one side and 3 x 3.5m on the other. The double glass doors lead into the living area, which consists of one large room with central feature woodburner/bread oven, high ceilings, and in the far corner is a small kitchen with breakfast bar. Beyond the kitchen is a door to a utility room.
An archway to the far end of the living room, next to the kitchen, leads to a small distribution area. From here straight ahead is the door into the bedroom. The bedroom has a part glass door out to the rear patio area, and a mezanine area above the bathroom, accessed from within the bedroom via a fixed ladder, to a large store area above.
To the left of the distribution area is the bathroom.
Beyond the rear tiled patio area is a flat gravel area that would be ideal to locate a 'hot tub' or an above ground pool and beyond is a tool shed.
