The house is connected to both mains electricity and water and is located on a small lane with only six houses, and forests around. The murmuring of the Pera River can be heard at the house.

The house briefly comprises:

-Ground floor consisting of an independent unit with kitchen, living room with log burner, bathroom, bedroom and s smaller room which could be used as a study or a second bedroom. There is a door to the lane from the living room and another door to the patio area to the rear of the house.

- The first floor consists of a second independent unit. The main entrance door is from the side of the house and opens directly into the living room, which has a fireplace to one corner. From the kitchen there is a door to the family bathroom and to the fully equipped, large kitchen.

From the corridor leading from the living room, there are four good sized bedrooms, two to each side of the corridor. Each bedroom has a window with good views into the surrounding green hilly countryside. From the largest bedroom there is a door leading onto a balcony with good views.

The floors throughout the house are tiled. The windows are single glazed with aluminum frames, with external shutters, the doors are also aluminum framed, single glazed.

There are stone stairs to the exterior of the side of the house, leading to the door to the attic. The attic is ample space and offers a lot of space either for storage or to be converted into yet more living space, as there is good standing height.

The structure and the roof tiles are in good order of conservation.

To the rear of the house, there is an exterior kitchen annex, and three more annexes for storage and one is a wine cellar. There is a bread oven in one of the annexes.

The property comes with more than one hectare of land, set on six different plots, all in the vicinity of the house. One plot is to the rear of the house and into a little garden, where there is a little creek. One of these plots, near to the house and close to the little river, would make a lovely setting for a yurt or a tipi, a secret garden or a private picnic park. There is another plot for growing vegetables, where there are a good number of mature fruit trees.

Two of these plots of land are wood land.

The property is located just five km from the center of the town of Castanheira da Pera.

Castanheira da Pera is a council town where all amenities can be found. The main attraction is the "Praia das Rocas", a wave fun park. There are also a number of peaceful river beaches in the area.

The airports of Lisbon and Porto are about the same distance away, some two and a half hours´ drive by car. Both airports are serviced by a number of low cost flight companies.
