This walled country estate is located about 50 km (31 miles) north east of Paris.
It is easily accessible by train from Paris (40 minutes), by bus from the International Airport Charles de Gaulle, and of course by car from all directions. If required the caretaker will pick you up at the airport or at the nearby railway station.
The property consists of 16 hectares ( 40 acres ) of park-like landscaped grounds with a Chateau dating from the late 19th century and a number of out-buildings consisting of an Orangerie, a large greenhouse an orchard and a Courtyard dating from the 17th century.
A caretaker couple lives in a separate house on the grounds.
Next to the Courtyard there is also a huge dovecote and a small, partly subterranean, prison.
In 1998 the castle and its out-buildings were converted into comfortable apartments.
On the grounds there many other features such as a tennis court and a heated swimming pool, which is open for a swim from april till end of September.

Apart from its proximity to Paris the area offers many excellent walking, cycling and touring possibilities.
Along the valley of the winding river Marne, there are a number of interesting small villages where during weekends, you can regularly find farmers markets and flea markets.
Euro Disney is about half an hour s drive away along the A4 toll road and you can reach the center of Paris in under an hour by car.
The railway station in the nearest town is 3 miles away and the train will take you to the Gare de l Est, in Paris in about 40 minutes. There also is a bus service to the Charles de Gaulle airport.
Interesting places like Reims, La Ferte sous Jouarre, Senlis, Fontainebleau and Vaux le Vicomte are all within comfortable distance. Various theme parks such as Asterix and Mer de Sable are also in the vicinity.
There are many nice restaurants in the area. Within a 30 minute drive there are at least four 18 hole golf courses, some of them very beautiful.
