Town Milna is placed at the end of the bay of the same name, deeply cut in the west coast of Brač island. Milna is the biggest, the most protected and the most beautiful port on the western side of island, placed 18km from the main town Supetar. It is one of the most harmonius small towns with baroque urbanism on Dalmatian coast and the best natural port on Brač island in which the emperor's fleet found its safe haven during the construction of Diocletian's palace in Split. Milna had developed as a village at the beginning of 16th century, after which it became the most important port on Brač island and played that role for two long centuries. The bay provides safety and peace against wind and due to that fact it has become one of the most famous safe charter bays in the summer season (ACI Milna).

Crystal transparent sea, home grown healthy food, ideal diving conditions, sailing and fishing, are just a few reasons for visiting this beautiful Dalmatian town.

Milna is connected by catamaran route Vis- Hvar- Milna- Split (line nr. 9602, skipper Captain Luka).

As an orientation when sailing into Milna, there is a little island Mrduja situated 2,5 miles west from Milna. This island reminds of a funny anecdote between the people of Šolta and people of Brač: They both argued to whom belonged this little island Mrduja so they tied it with a rope and pulled each to their side. In the memory of this story, 9th August 2008, they held a competition for the first time under the name "Potezanje Mrduje" (Pulling Mrduja) between the crew of Milna (Brač) and Stomorska (Šolta). Since then, this manifestation has been organised every year at the end of July or at the beginning of August; it lasts for two days and every year attracts a bigger number of both competitors and visitors.
