Ciovo is an island in Central Dalmatia. It sizes around 29 km2 and counts around 7 thousand residents. Thanks to its excellent position, i.e. proximity to the land and the vicinity of important destinations such as Trogir and Split, as well as thanks to its own beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea, Ciovo is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Dalmatia.
It is oriented east-west and closes the Kastela bay. The fact that makes it so attractive is an international airport located nearby. Beside that, Ciovo is a really interesting because of its position. It is situated between a couple of worldwide famous destinations. It is connected by bridge with Trogir, the town that has for years been counted among world's top destinations, according to different websites/organisations. Trogir is also protected by UNESCO thanks to its extraordinary beauty and cultural heritage. Worldwide known destinations such as Split Rogoznica and Primošten, each one with its own amenities, are placed 30 km away (app. 40 min by car).
Plenty of sun, numerous hidden picturesque bays, beautiful beaches, clear sea and almost untouched nature make this island a perfect destination for relaxation and peaceful holiday, while a hustle of nightlife is more easily found in nearby towns of Trogir and Split.
To arrive from coast to Ciovo, you have to cross two bridges: a smaller bridge land-Trogir (that is also an island) and then Trogir- Ciovo. East from Trogir the construction of a new bridge is in progress, that would connect the mainland with Ciovo, disburdening the transition across Trogir centre.
